0. Is it easy to learn saṃskṛtaṃ?

I realized that the answer is YES. Let me tell why I think so.

Each one of us must have got this question sometime or other. Yes, if your mother tongue is any Bharatiya language and if you can speak your mother tongue. It is a bonus if you can read or write in mother tongue. Because, most Bharatiya languages are rooted in saṃskṛtaṃ.

If your connect with your mother tongue is broken, you may find learning saṃskṛtaṃ difficult. Another reason you may not agree with me is if you already have knowledge of mother tongue and even tried to learn saṃskṛtaṃ but gave up after a few futile attempts.

For learning something new, the key is the interest and the resources. I have spent a considerable time wandering (window shopping) to find out which is the best course for learning saṃskṛtaṃ. There are a lot of courses available and each one of them has its own unique approach and each one is great in its own way.

Courtesy Chinmaya International Foundation (CIF), I found Sanskrit for Shastra-Study Course by CIF on YouTube taught by Brahmachari Ved Chaitanya ji.

I realized that learning one Sanskrit verse a week is not a big deal. In this series, I am just repeating what has been taught by Shri Vedji as part of Sanskrit for Shastra-Study Course by CIF. The classes for this course are available on YouTube here.
