कर्पूरगौरं करुणावतारं
संसारसारं भुजगेन्द्रहारम् ।
सदा वसन्तं हृदयारविन्दे
भवं भवानीसहितं नमामि ॥
karpūragauraṃ karuṇāvatāraṃ
saṃsārasāraṃ bhujagendrahāram ।
sadā vasantaṃ hṛdayāravinde
bhavaṃ bhavānīsahitaṃ namāmi ॥
कर्पूरगौरं (karpūragauraṃ) = to the one of the colour of camphor
करुणा-अवतारम् (karuṇā-avatāram) = to the incarnation of compassion
संसारसारम् (saṃsārasāram) = to the essence of the world
भुजगेन्द्र-हारम् (bhujagendra-hāram) = to the one wearing king of serpents as the garland
सदा हृदय-अरविन्दे वसन्तं (sadā hṛdaya-aravinde vasantaṃ) = to the one who is ever staying in the lotus heart
भवम् (bhavam) = to the one who Is/Exists – appears as the world
भवानीसहितम् (bhavānīsahitam) = to the one with Pārvati
नमामि (namāmi) = I prostrate
Meaning: I prostrate wo the one of the colour of camphor; to the incarnation of compassion; to the essence of the world; to the one wearing king of serpents as the garland; to the one who is ever staying in the lotus of heart; to the one who Is/Exists – appears as the world; to the one with Pārvati (viz., Lord Shiva)
