सच्चिदानन्दरूपाय
विश्वोत्पत्त्यादि-हेतवे ।
तापत्रय-विनाशाय
श्रीकृष्णाय वयं नुमः ॥
saccidānandrūpāya
viśvotpattyādi-hetave ।
tāpatraya-vināśāya
śrīkṛṣṇāya vayaṃ numaḥ ॥
वयं श्रीकृष्णाय नुमः (vayaṃ śrīkṛṣṇāya numaḥ) = We prostrate unto Lord Krishna
सच्चिदानन्दरूपाय (saccidānandarūpāya) = to the one who is of the nature of Existence-Conciousness-Bliss
विश्व-उत्पत्ति-आदि-हेतवे (viśva-utpatti-ādi-hetave) = to the one who is the cause of world’s creation etc.
तापत्रय-विनाशाय (tāpatraya-vināśāya) = to the destroyer of three afflictions
Meaning: We prostrate unto Lord Krishna, who is of the nature of Existence-Consciousness-Bliss, cause of world’s creation etc. and destroyer of three afflictions viz., ādibhautika, ādidaivika, ādhyātmika (आदिभौतिक, आदिदैविक, आध्यात्मिक).
Above śloka is to offer prostrations to the God at all four levels (as above) which are often confused and misquoted or misrepresented.
Note: In addition to above four levels of the concept of God, there are देवता-s (devatā-s) इन्द्र, अग्नि, वायु (indra, agni, vāyu) etc. who are enablers and not Gods themselves.
