एकेनापि सुवृक्षेण
पुष्पितेन सुगन्धिना ।
वासितं तद्वनं सर्वं
सुपुत्रेण कुलं यथा ॥
ekenāpi suvṛkṣeṇa
puṣpitena sugandhinā ।
vāsitaṃ tadvanaṃ sarvaṃ
suputreṇa kulaṃ yathā ॥
एकेन अपि सुवृक्षेण (ekena api suvṛkṣeṇa) = even by one good tree
सुगन्धिना पुष्पितेन (sugandhinā puṣpitena) = with fragrant flowers
तत्सर्वं वनं वासितं (tatsarvaṃ vanaṃ vāsitaṃ) = that entire forest is made fragrant
यथा (yathā) = just as
सुपुत्रेण कुलं (suputreṇa kulaṃ) = entire clan by one noble son
Meaning: Just as even a one tree with fragrant flowers makes the whole forest fragrant, one noble child makes the whole clan great. Example: Prahlāda
