60. chāyāmanyasya kurvanti

छायामन्यस्य कुर्वन्ति
तिष्ठान्ति स्वयमातपे ॥
फलन्त्यपि परार्थाय
वृक्षाः सत्पुरुषा इव ॥

chāyāmanyasya kurvanti
tiṣṭhānti svayamātape

phalantyapi parārthāya
vṛkṣāḥ satpuruṣā iva

वृक्षाः (vṛkṣāḥ) = trees
अन्यस्य छायां कुर्वन्ति (anyasya chāyāṃ kurvanti) = give shadow to others
स्वयम् आतपे तिष्ठान्ति (svayam ātape tiṣṭhānti) = themselves stay in sunlight
परार्थाय फलन्ति अपि (parārthāya phalanti api) = even bear fruits for others
सत्पुरुषा इव (satpuruṣā iva) = like the noble people.

Meaning: Trees, like noble people, give shadow to others while remaining in heat of the sun and even give fruits for others (though we throw stones at them).
